The next stage of contemporary art.

Generally, Marcel Duchamp's "spring" is said to be the origin of contemporary art.
Duchamp named the bowl a fountain, stripped the function, and gave a new thought.
It was a quite remarkable achievement of him to gave a new value by thinking differently.
However, looking back, our concept of "contemporary" have been still in the thoughts of Duchamp for 100 years. We think about "contemporary art" in the modern age where various thoughts are made and technology evolved.

Art in the age of AI

In the modern world where various things are created, one criterion that separates art from something is whether it finds value as art. Specifically, it can be said whether people pay for their works and stories as art.
However, will it continue even in the present age where the possibility of intelligence other than AI is shown?
It can be said that financial assets, which are already a symbol of human value, are under computer control. If AI chooses a work, and AI is to create a work for that AI, art may be able to move away from the person's value standard.
We worked on the creation of art by AI to be the forerunner of such an era.

AI Mural

The oldest art of humanity recorded is the "mural".
Should we start learning from murals in order for the AI we produce to be the source of art by AI? It is made from such a viewpoint.
AI had me learn a mural painted 20,000 years ago by the Cro-Magnon.
Just as the Cro-Magnon chose the mural subject in their territory, AI also has the ability to choose the image to draw.
When interpreting what was drawn in the mural from the viewpoint of art, although things such as horses and cows were drawn on the surface, it can be said that these were the objects of wealth and desire of that era.
The AI selects a site serving as a motif from the projected image, and determines how much attention is given to the motif and whether it is valuable.
Just as humans described the animals as motifs in nature, AI selected the objects to be drawn from society viewed through the Internet.
The AI sees the society through a large amount of images obtained from the Internet, and draws the object as a mural within the physical limit of its own robot arm, which is judged to be the most valuable at that time.
Here is how the Roppongi mural completed.

Comment

In the modern age, when AI has begun to enter our society, human started to discuss on this question, would our jobs be taken away by AI? At this time, although creative work is often discussed in terms of remaining in human beings, in this work of ours, on the contrary, it expresses the future that human beings are used for AI and engaged in simple labor.
This work is completed by putting a picture on the wall.
AI performs the creative work of drawing a picture, and the human performs simple work of turning a screw and holding a picture on a wall.
Humans have to wait for AI to finish drawing, and have to change the board for drawing quickly so as not to get in the way of AI. Also, this AI is created as out of the box as possible, and so are the pictures shown through the internet.
However, AI who learned to draw something valuable at this time has easily violated human copyright and portrait rights.
We do not teach AI what to write specifically.
The first thing that happens when AI has made inroads into society may be the infringement of the human rights described in the existing framework.
